Welcome to LiveliGoods ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"). LiveliGoods is a blended marketplace, community hub, and local services exchange operating via mobile applications (iOS and Android) and a web "mirror" platform.

We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy of our users ("Neighbors," "Consumers," "Sellers," or "You"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use our services. By accessing or using LiveliGoods, you agree to the practices described in this document.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

To deliver a strictly hyper-local, geo-fenced community experience, we collect various types of information:

A. Information You Provide Directly to Us

• Account & Registration Data: When signing up, we collect your email address and/or phone number to validate your identity via two-factor authentication (2FA).

• Profile Information: Names, profile pictures, storefront descriptions (for Sellers), and local biometric credentials (FaceID/TouchID, which are processed natively and securely via the Flutter local auth framework on your device and are never stored on our servers).

• Listings & Open Inquiries Content: Information, images, categories, and details included in any listings you post across our 6 core modules (Goods, Services/Labor, Teach/Learn, Rent, Volunteer opportunities, and Open Inquiries).

• In-App Messaging: Secure 1:1 chat messages exchanged between users within the context of a specific listing or inquiry.

B. Location & Geospatial Data (Critical for Core Features)

• Precise Location Data: Because LiveliGoods is a strictly geo-fenced network, we collect and process your ZIP code or exact geographic coordinates (using PostgreSQL + PostGIS in our database) to calculate distances and filter search results within your chosen radius in milliseconds.

C. Payment Information (Subscriptions Only)

• Seller Subscription Data: Paid Sellers (monthly or yearly subscribers) will provide billing details. These payments are securely handled externally through Stripe Checkout. LiveliGoods does not store or process credit or debit card numbers on its own infrastructure.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the collected information for the following legitimate business purposes:

1. Core Platform Operation: To filter, sort, and display listings and inquiries exclusively within the geographic radius or ZIP code selected by the user.

2. Trust & Security: To validate accounts using 2FA codes sent via SendGrid and to manage native biometric authentication controls.

3. Facilitating Connections: To enable instant 1:1 communication between neighbors via WebSockets to coordinate local pickups, rentals, or services.

4. Moderation & Enforcement: To review user reports concerning inappropriate profiles, listings, or messages via an admin dashboard, taking actions such as hiding content or suspending/banning accounts if community guidelines are breached.

3. EXCLUSION OF IN-APP TRANSACTIONAL PAYMENTS

It is a strict rule of our product that no financial transactions or payments between buyers and sellers take place within the application.

• Users freely coordinate their own off-platform payment preferences (such as Cash, Venmo, Zelle, or Barter).

• LiveliGoods does not monitor, record, process, or assume liability for any financial or personal payment details exchanged privately between users to fulfill these offline agreements.

4. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION

• Infrastructure: All data is safely housed on scalable "Droplets" and "Managed Databases" provided by DigitalOcean, ensuring automated backups and data stability.

• Image Hosting: Listing photos and profile images are stored cost-effectively and securely in the cloud using DigitalOcean Spaces (S3).

• Retention Policy: We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account or if an admin removes your access due to a policy violation, your data will be purged or anonymized from our production databases, except where retention is legally required for audit trails.

5. HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS SHARED

LiveliGoods does not sell or lease your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes (our platform is completely free of external ad feeds or sponsored items). Your data is shared only under these conditions:

• With the Local Community: Your profile name, picture, ratings, and approximate distance based on your geo-fence are visible to other users to make local commerce possible.

• With Core Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted partners who handle specific technical operations (Stripe for seller subscriptions, SendGrid for 2FA security flushes, and DigitalOcean for cloud hosting).

• Optional Integrations: If you use the Google Business connection feature (OAuth), we will pull basic business data (such as star rating and review count) as permitted by Google APIs.

6. DATA SECURITY

We leverage a custom, object-oriented PHP 8.3 backend and a PostgreSQL database to maintain 100% control over our business logic and security protocols. While we apply robust technical and organizational guardrails, no digital storage or internet transmission is completely flawless. We advise users to protect their login credentials and avoid sending sensitive financial information through the item chat features.

7. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on your local regulations, you have specific rights regarding your personal information:

• Access and Correction: You can view, update, and modify your profile details at any time using the Profile Edit screen within the app.

• Account Deletion: You can request the removal of your account, history, and active listings through our support channels.

• Privacy Controls: You can adjust geolocation tracking, notification toggles, and account management preferences at any time within the Settings menu.

8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy to align with technical, operational, or legal changes. We will notify you of any material updates by updating the date at the top of this policy, posting an announcement within the platform, or emailing your registered account.
